RUBIX - Pop up store

The VH pop-up store is dedicated to the ‘MY FIT’ campaign. A service that helps the Indian males to find a perfect fit of shirts for their body type from an array of fit options. The aim was to create a space that builds brand awareness in a physical environment, to create excitement among the consumers and urge them to experience the service first-hand.
 
The form of the trial room is inspired from the twisting of a Rubik’s cube to create a visual interest by introducing some movement in the structure. The trial room is a private space and needs to have a fully covered structure. We took advantage of that and made the structure of the trial room the hero of the space.  The ‘C’ Grooves on the wood panels give an illusion of many cuboidal boxes stacked over each other. 
 
We decided to take a minimalist approach keeping in mind the brand language, optimization of cost and most importantly, ease of access. The structure is designed for dis-assembly as it is a temporary space and has to be easy to assemble and disassemble within a short period of time. Therefore we decided to make it an open structure by eliminating a big overhead canopy and walls and moved away from the usual format of a ‘kiosk’ or a ‘store’. 
 
The entire structure fits into a 4'6" box!
